Το φιτρί αγόρι (colourful life)

Today is my first day in a small internet travel agency in Greece. I left my job in a big ISP saving the world and some manager’s arses. Small company, quiet environment, small PC, and everything is done with windows and Microsoft tools.

Visual Studio, as always, impressed me with new tools that help a lot. But as always too, I could see the the not so good way it has to organize the code. Even I got scared when I saw the code for the automatic templates generated for asp web pages. Nothing is perfect.

Also I started to suffer the first windows problmes. In this case “I couldn’t open a .chm file”. So if you see in your windows a message like the one in the pic when you open a .chm file. Just modiy or create the following registry keys:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp\1.x\HHRestrictions]
“MaxAllowedZone”=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp\1.x\ItssRestrictions]
“MaxAllowedZone”=dword:00000001

Buenos días.

Today I do not have a picture (no battery in the mobile phone) but believe me when I say: “it’s snowing in Athens”. I went out to go to the office and I could feel the cold in my chicks. Too cold. Two steps after I found cars with snow in the windshield. And then I realized that a fine grained snow was falling over Athens. I felt like I was Spain, but with a greek style

I don’t know how many years passed since the last album from Linkin. Well, I know if look for in in wikipedia: about 4 years. I downloaded the single weeks ago, “What I’ve done”, and at first I didn’t like it. But I gave it another chance and I ended listening to it again and again. The same happened with the album; the first time was something like “WTF is this”. And now its playing again and again in my iPod.

Is it good? Yep, but for me its because its different. Of course you can find Chester shouting and tearing apart his voice, but, not as the Nu-Metal I knew. It has slow songs, and very very beautiful lyrics. In fact the first thing I did is to download the lyrics to be able to enjoy the first play with them, and reading them I though: “its gonna be something good”.
